The following has been stated:

• The Board has issued the Regulation to control and regulate the display of advertisements within its jurisdiction, particularly in port and maritime areas. The regulations aim to ensure orderly, safe, and aesthetically appropriate advertising, preventing unauthorized hoardings and visual clutter.

• Under these regulations, prior permission/licence from the Board is mandatory for displaying any advertisement. The rules prescribe conditions, fees, and designated locations for advertisements, along with restrictions to avoid obstruction, safety hazards, or environmental harm. Unauthorized advertisements are subject to removal and penalties.

• The regulations also empower the Board to monitor, regulate, and enforce compliance, including taking action against violations. Overall, the framework ensures regulated advertising, revenue generation, and protection of public safety and aesthetics in maritime zones.
